What to take from the Covington Catholic HS Incident

In spectacular fashion, media bias and advancement of narrative was on display in this week’s incident at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. At the center were boys from Covington Catholic High in Kentucky, in town for the annual March For Life Rally, who got caught up in an altercation between radical Black Israelites and liberal Native Americans. All the ingredients were there in a perfect set up: white, male, Christians wearing red MAGA caps and two minority groups. Native American activist Nathan Phillips saw his opportunity to create the perfect out-of-context moment, captured strategically on video to make the kids appear to be racist, smug and cruel. If that wasn’t enough, he blatantly lied in interviews to eager journalists about what happened. Media outlets ran with the story.

I guess it didn’t dawn on them that there would be many more video sources out there, ones that showed the entire incident in the proper context. To see exactly what happened, visit the link below. You may or may not like Glenn Beck, but his team did their homework, and the audio / video speaks for itself.

While the media was forced to backtrack, it did so sheepishly and without conviction. There should be no question at this point about the leanings of the media and how it should not be trusted. This should be alarming to all of us, regardless of our politics. Truth matters!
