The True Key to Peace and Contentment

When someone has even the tiniest bit of faith, they thereby have the foundation on which a relationship with Jesus can be built. As the relationship grows, so does the trust in God through Jesus Christ, and with it, peace, contentment and joy. Fear and anxiety begin to slip away.

This is a fundamental truth that is widely ignored in today’s society. Naysayers and the secular crowd love to bash organized religion and point out all of its missteps and wrongdoings, falsely equating the religion with those who are not following its precepts. Not only are they cherry-picking to further their misguided agenda, but they are missing the point entirely.

The Father’s plan for salvation through Jesus Christ not only unlocks eternal life for us, but provides a higher quality of life for us in the here and now. Christians sound like a broken record when we say that God is the answer to our broken society, but it is as true today as it ever was. Those that dismiss this typically have never seriously given God a chance, or have been hurt along the way by sinful people.

Healing and peace come to those that trust in God and cultivate their faith. This takes time and effort, and in particular, prayer. As time goes on, we can surrender ourselves to the will of the Father and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. When we allow God to live through us, everything falls into place. This is real and true, and not just flowery words or abstract theology. It just starts with taking that leap of faith and talking to God. And if he doesn’t answer right away, don’t give up. He is a God of the long-term, and he will make his presence known at the right time.

Do you believe this? I hope that you do and will make your relationship with God a priority. It truly will brighten your life and allow you to live life to the fullest!
